Wasatch Pale Ale
Review Date 9/8/1997
Utah is not a state known for a wide range of microbreweries and brewpubs. Since 1986, however, Greg Schirf has provided Utah with great tasting Wasatch beers, and a brewpub to enjoy them in since 1989. These beers are distributed solely in Utah, Idaho, Colorado and California, but they have also been selections of Illinois-based Beer Across America on several occasions.
Wasatch Pale Ale is amber-orange in color with a fair amount of carbonation. The nose tempts the olfactory senses with hints of butterscotch and strong notes of hop fruitiness. When you take a sip, potent, lingering bitter-orange and grapefruit hop flavors assault your taste buds. The malt in this beer is definitely overpowered by the bitter and aromatic hops. Alcohol content is given at 5.5% by volume. A delicious and refreshing American pale ale.
And remember, try a new beer today, and drink outside the box.
